Teach your students the basics for making healthy food choices. This interactive 10 lesson program helps students classify foods into the 4 food groups, create balanced meals, choose healthy snacks, and make connections to agriculture. Kit includes:

Students learn a process to assess their eating pattern and develop healthy eating plans, using food records, goal setting, discussion and problem solving. This 10 lesson program is designed to meet the learning outcomes of the Health and Career Education Curriculum.
It can also be integrated into Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, Fine Arts, and Physical Education curricula.
Teacher kit includes teacher guide, class set of full colour student workbooks, 3-day food booklets, parent guides, one-page post tests, and a Serving Size Poster. Available through a teacher workshop.

Bone Zone: Messages for Anyone with Bones
(Grades: 5-8) |
This fun, interactive workshop features the Bone Zone video plus video clips showing the program in action, in a classroom. Attendees will engage in several activities that reinforce the important messages about how diet and exercise build healthy bone. Bone Zone was developed in partnership with BC Ministry of Health, BC Dairy Foundation, Knowledge Network and Osteoporosis Society of Canada.

Passport to Healthy Living
(Grades: 4-7) |
Challenge students to take responsibility for their health! Students plan and carry out a healthy living activity integrating physical activity, nutrition and environmental awareness.
They identify additional healthy living activities and are encouraged to continue to practice healthy living. Kit includes:
