Milk and Cookies - How Well Do Our Kids Eat at School?
On November 27, 2003, BC Dairy Foundation hosted the 5th Annual Forum for School Administrators and Health Professionals: How Well Do Our Kids Eat at School? Exploring School Nutrition Policies.
The forum explored school nutrition policy from nutrition education and foods available, to school gardens and scheduling issues. Attendees learned about successful initiatives in other communities, discussed challenges and were inspired to take action.
BC Dairy Foundation also coordinated the development
of an
information sharing nutrition web site. This is
a discussion forum to:
- explore school nutrition policies including nutrition education, foods availability, school gardens and scheduling issues.
- share successful initiatives in other communities.
- discuss the challenges that others have faced.
- get inspired to take action!
