Our Story
BC Dairy Foundation (BCDF) is a not-for-profit organization with the mandate
of increasing consumption of milk in British Columbia. Since 1974,
the Foundation has developed and delivered leading edge nutrition education
programs for many thousands of school children. In addition, the Foundation
promotes the consumption of fluid milk and cream. The Foundation is funded
by the dairy producers of British Columbia.
BCDF Programs and Initiatives:
- Nutrition education programs for teachers and health professionals.
- Elementary School Milk Program - encouraging the in-school consumption
of milk.
- Extensive and focused advertising and promotion campaigns - raising awareness of milk and driving consumption (the main target group for the Foundation's marketing efforts is youth and young adults).
- Sponsorships, community events and partnerships - to leverage existing marketing strategies and stay connected with the public throughout BC.
